More Than Just Books

During the spring months, a young Ontario student was researching her upcoming visit to Drumheller for the summer. An email enquiry through the Drumheller Public Library web site put her in touch with a local employer.

"She turned out to be a fantastic employee, which pleased the employer no end (and made for great relations with the Library)," says Linde Turner, Head Librarian. "The grateful student came in to thank us warmly - and we just happened to be very busy at that time, so the word spread far and wide about yet another service from the public library."

"More people learned that there is more to the public library than just books," continued Linde.

Linde credits their success to the presence of an attractive, easy-to-use web site as well as staff members who care about people.
